MicroMELF and MiniMELF housings, despite their small size, are often chosen for their precision parameters and stability in harsh conditions. However, their specific characteristics – including a glass, semi-transparent coating – pose a real challenge for optical inspection systems. This is why it is so important not only to calibrate the AOI properly, but also to combine several inspection methods – from advanced algorithms, through manual inspection, to the operator’s experience. High-quality assembly does not begin on the production line – it begins with an awareness of how difficult it is to spot an error with the naked eye.
